A Fresh Face Mask Review:

Rudolph

What is a Fresh Face Mask?
The Fresh Face Masks are a preservative free line of face masks that LUSH offer in store only.

Tell me about Rudolph!
Rudolph is a seasonal face mask LUSH came out with in 2013 for the Holiday season.

What is it good for?
Rudolph is a face mask great for soothing that dry, sore winter skin. It's packed full of skin softening cucumber, soothing calamine and lavender, and nourishing oatmeal. Great for sensitive, sore skin.

How do I use it?
Cleanse first! You don't want to apply a mask over a dirty face! You won't get any of the benefits from it if your pores are blocked by a bunch of yuck! Take a nice amount and spread it over the skin. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and take it off. I remove mine with a warm wet rag. Follow with your LUSH toner and moisturizer.

What's the price?:
$6.95 for 2.1 oz.

FFM FAQ:
How do I store it?
These are kept in the refrigerator. They are preservative free. They're safe out for 10 hours!
Why is my pot half empty?
If your pot was full, you wouldn't get through the product within the expiration date! In this sense, we should all be optimistic and consider it half full. ;) This way, you're saving money and not wasting wonderful fresh product.
How often should I use it?
I use mine twice a week for 3 weeks. Gives me 6 masks and I use (almost) the whole pot in 6 masks.
Can I use it after the expiration date?
I do, and I've never had a problem. It's very rare I get through an entire mask before it expires. I usually forget about them, or really just don't have the time to do it. I use mine as long as there's nothing growing on it. If it's moldy, PASS!

Final note: If you bring back 5 black pots any size  (this includes solid perfume sticks as well) you will receive a free face mask. So don't throw these pots away! Save em!

My Review:
I love face masks and I really enjoy most of the Fresh Face Masks from LUSH. This one, however, fell short for me. It felt nice and went on nice and smooth, but it had a tendency of balling up on my face while I was rubbing it on. I hate cucumber anything and I don't like lavender either, so I feel like I was destined to hate the way this smells - and I did. Luckily, the scent went away after a few minutes and I could no longer smell it. The jelly nose wouldn't stick and it was a bummer cause it looked like a lot of fun. The mask did make my skin feel wonderful. It was moisturizing and smoothed really nicely. I wouldn't go back for this face mask. LUSH has superior face masks in their year round line that I'm most stoked about every time I get one. If you haven't tried it, I wouldn't say it's a must try. Unless you're a diehard lush fanatic who HAS to try everything… then it's probably necessary. ;)
